The 19th Annual Youth Talent Showcase for all Duneland students will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Chesterton High School Auditorium. This outstanding show has a $5.00 admission fee that the Duneland Exchange Club will donate to the Natural Helpers Program at Chesterton High School.
The Exchange Club welcomes Duneland students to try out for a spot in the Talent Show. Performers are divided into three classifications: Primary Division Grades K-4; Junior Division Grades 5-8, and Senior Division Grades 9-12.
An audition is required for all participants. Auditions will be held at Chesterton Middle School Auditorium on the evenings of Tuesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 18th.
There is a mandatory dress rehearsal on Friday evening April 9, 2010. Participants much attend the Friday rehearsal in order to participate in the show on Saturday.
Ultimately, the winning act in each division will receive $100.00. There will also be trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each division. Contestants will be judged on technique, difficulty, personality, showmanship, overall performance, plus backstage behavior. Judges decisions are final.
Entry forms are available at the Duneland Schools or at the Duneland Exchange Club Website and must be returned by mail to Judi Rue, Talent Show Chairman at 752 Mississinewa Rd, Chesterton, IN or faxed to 219-929-9380. Completed entry forms are due by Friday,March 5, 2010. Please send entry forms in early for preferred audition times.
