Rules for Show


  • The Talent Show will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 7:00 PM.  There will be a mandatory rehearsal on Friday, April 15th, 2011 at the Chesterton High School Auditorium.  All participants must attend the rehearsal in order to participate in the show.
  • An audition will be required.  Auditions will be at Chesterton Middle School Auditorium on the evenings of March 15th and March 17th .  All entrants will be notified of date and time.  Preference may be indicated on the entry form.
  • Contestants may only audition for and participate in one act.
  • The winner of each division will receive $100.00.  There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division.
  • A group that has contestants in multiple divisions must perform in the division of its oldest participant.
  • Single or group acts are allowed only one accompanist.  The accompanist must be provided by the act and must not be in the main talent.
  • Contestants are permitted four minutes to complete their act.
  • Contestants are judged on technique and difficulty, personality and showmanship, overall performance, plus backstage behavior.
  • The decision of the contest judges will be final.
  • There will be a $5.00 admission fee to see the April 16th show.  The proceeds of the show will be donated to the Natural Helpers Program at Chesterton High School.
  • Entry forms are to be turned in by Friday, March 6th 2011.  Please send in early for preferred audition times.
  • Entries may be mailed, hand-delivered, or faxed
  • Only Duneland area students are allowed to participate.
